About Jamie

I'm an engineering leader for product-centric organisations. I love working on hard problems that bring brilliant people together to build world class products.

Outside of my work, I ride motorbikes and scuba dive, I play video games, and I write. I also have three cats and a wonderful wife and son.

Currently, I'm the Head of Engineering at Hex Digital, leading the engineering function and building websites and products for enterprises and global non-profits. Before that I worked for PayPal as an Engineer for Merchant Growth, and a fullstack developer for Titanium Web Designs.

Rewinding a bit, I started coding when I was 11, programming and animating multiplayer, sprite-based games using GraalScript. I fell in love with web development when I was 14, creating sites for local businesses and learning how the world works. I also completed my degree in Computer Science from the University of Bath in 2016.
